Helping Where We Can: Supporting Integration Through Housing

At Alliance Relocation, we know how tough the Swiss housing market can be, especially for individuals and families who don’t have the luxury of large budgets or powerful networks, but who work hard, follow the rules, and are committed to building a life here.

Each year, we choose to support one relocation client without compensation. It’s our small way of giving back and standing by those who deserve a fair chance. In 2024, we assisted a Ukrainian family. This year, we had the privilege of helping a young Afghan couple.

Today, 28-year-old Amin received the keys to his new home in central Zug. It’s a great flat, and a big moment for him one that brings him a step closer to reuniting with his wife.

Amin came to Switzerland from Afghanistan in 2015. Since 2019, he has worked steadily in restaurants across Zug. For the past few years, he’s lived in a shared apartment in Neuheim. But now, as he prepares to bring his wife who is still living in Iran to safety in Switzerland, he needed a home of his own.

We began the apartment search together in April. After visiting 18 properties and submitting applications to all of them, we were finally met with a yes.

We are incredibly grateful to Mr Jankovic who chose to give Amin and his wife a chance. Thanks to his openness and trust, they now have a beautiful place to call home.

Stories like Amin’s remind us why we do what we do. Integration takes more than paperwork it takes people willing to offer a hand. We’re proud to play a small part in that journey.
